What do these mean?
- Leaseholder — Resident:
- you own the long lease on this flat (you bought it from Berkeley Homes or a previous owner) and live in it yourself. Most common option.
- Leaseholder — Landlord:
- you own the long lease but rent the flat out to someone else — typical buy-to-let.
- Renter:
- you don't own the flat — you pay rent to the person who does.
- Shared ownership:
- you own a percentage of the lease (typically 25–75%) and pay rent on the rest, usually to a housing association.
- Other:
- anything that doesn't fit above — live-in family of a leaseholder, caretakers, unusual arrangements. WARA admin may reach out to confirm details.
